1. Open the Data Manger.

2. Right-click on the Project -> “Import”.

3. Select “

   View file
   name OPAL-RT UDB Export Definition v3.pfd

   ” -> “Open”. (for PowerFactory versions 2019 and earlier use

   View file
   name OPAL-RT UDB Export Definition v19.pfd

   )

4. Optionally select a new destination path via “New Path” in your Data Manager:

   • As this Export Definition is equal for all projects, it can be imported outside of your PowerFactory project.
     

     

5. Click “OK” to import the export definition

6. Afterwards a new folder should appear in the project structure

4. Select “File” -> “Export” -> “DGS Format...”

   

5. Configure the following settings in the DGS-Export dialog:

   • General:

     • DGS Version: V7 V5.00

     • Format: XML File

     • Encoding: UTF-8 (with BOM)

     • File Name: as you wish (e.g. Your Model.xml)

   • Selection:

     • Variable Sets: OPAL-RT UDB Export Definition (from step 1.)Image Added

     • Base Selection: All elements of the active project

6. Start export by clicking on “Execute”.
