Signal lines in the schematic editor connect multiple blocks together. They represent time-varying quantities exchanged between blocks, such as current, power or any physical data. Various types of signals exist in an electrical circuit such as Electrical or Control signals.

  • Electrical signals don't have any flow direction. They represent data exchange in both directions. For example, one block could produce the voltage and the other block could produce the current. Both quantities are exchanged on the same signal.
  • Control signals have a flow direction. They exchange data from a source block to a destination block. The data is written by the source block, and the data is then read by the destination blocks.

In the current version of the schematic editor (DEC2019), only electrical signals are supported.
