Description
The Hardware Configuration Block is provided to help the user find the appropriate analog or digital, input or output signal interface on the OPAL-RT real-time simulator system. The user should specify in this block the exact configuration of the Target PC I/O module.
Once this block is configured, the user may use the I/O Block to access any I/O interface. The I/O Block provides the user with all the available signal interface board locations according to the requested signal type (analog or digital) and direction (input or output).
Once an I/O Block is configured, the user may open the Default Value menu by clicking on the "gear" icon next to the 'Section I/O Module' dropdown list (see Default Output Value Mask for more details). It is mandatory to configure the Default Output Value (DOV) when a red star appears on the "gear" icon.
It should be noted that the "gear" icon is disabled for input modules.
Note: See 'Hardware Compatibilities' in RT-XSG User guide for more details on the information given by the Tooltip of the 'Section I/O Module' dropdown list.
