OPAL-RT's SCPI driver is included standard with RT-LAB.
It enables the control of one or multiple devices operated by the Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) using TCP/IP.

The Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments defines a standard for syntax and commands for use in controlling programmable test and measurement devices, such as automatic test equipment and electronic test equipment.
The default TCP port is 5025 as the standard defines it.

Driver OP3163 is required to use SCPI with RT-LAB. Since simulators come with at least one available Ethernet port, no hardware add-ons are required.
If additional ports are required on the real-time simulator, these can be added via a kit.

Note that for applications requiring many Ethernet ports, the OP4510 and OP4512 simulators are not recommended.
