Description

Pm0_hp

pu

Initial mechanical power output of the machine connected to the HP pressure shaft power

Pm0_lp

pu

Initial mechanical power output of the machine connected to the LP pressure shaft power

The initial values parameters can be set manually, by entering a numerical value. They can also be set automatically based on load flow calculations, by entering a referenced synchronous machine variable. For instance, if the name of the synchronous machine on which the governor/turbine HP output is connected is “SM1”, then the value of Pm0_hp should be inserted as follow:

Pm0_hp

pu

SM1.lfP/1e6/SM1.sBase+3*SM1.Rs*((sqrt(SM1.lfP^2+SM1.lfQ^2)/1e6/SM1.sBase)/sqrt(3)/SM1.lfVolt)^2

if the name of the synchronous machine on which the governor/turbine LP output is connected is “SM2”, then the value of Pm0_lp should be inserted as follow:

Pm0_lp

pu

SM2.lfP/1e6/SM2.sBase+3*SM2.Rs*((sqrt(SM2.lfP^2+SM2.lfQ^2)/1e6/SM2.sBase)/sqrt(3)/SM2.lfVolt)^2

The HYPERSIM simulation option “Set Initial Conditions” must be checked for the automatic initialization to work properly.
