New features

The 2024.2 version was not officially released, and all of its feature are therefore released within the 2024.3 version. The list of those new feature can be found here:

Improvements

  • Improved to add a warning when a file will be overwritten during generation.

  • A new documentation page is available to describe common issues with Dashboards.

  • Added a warning when using Dashboards with a target that do not use automatic network configuration.

  • Improved LoadFlow UI

Bug fixes

  • Fixes UI freeze in the when the script doesn’t end properly (for example with an endless loop).

  • Fixed the PSS4B help button not linking to the correct documentation page.

  • Fixed an issue preventing one to deselect a sensor during a simulation.

I/O Interfaces

The Global configuration enables “Display monitoring information in the simulation log” by default.

IEC 60870-5-104 slave:

  • Added support for time-tagged write commands for normalized, scaled and floating point measurands.

OPAL-RT Board

  • Added support for the standard I/O type H module OP48H20, for the OP4810-IO/OP4815-IO expansions chassis.

  • Improved stability of OP4810-IO/OP4815-IO programming.

  • Improved LCD messaging to include chassis name and version of programmed binary for OP4810-IO/OP4815-IO.

  • Improved configuration view for OP4810-IO/OP4815-IO.

  • Fixed loss of communication with FPGA after an OP4810-IO/OP4815-IO reboot.

  • Fixed crashes during bitstream programming.

  • Fixed the FPGA application crashed detection mechanism which was reporting errors even for successful simulations.

  • Fixed missing UI field that permits control of the phase shift of PWM output signals in real-time.

MODBUS master

  • Added support for the MOXA CP-116E-A and CP-118EL-A cards in RTU mode.

MODBUS slave

  • Added support for the MOXA CP-116E-A and CP-118EL-A cards in RTU mode.

TCP-UDP

  • Fixed configuration errors when multiple streams configured with the same NIC had explicited the same NIC speed.

EXata CPS - Communication Network Toolbox

A new UI has been added to configure EXata CPS with HYPERSIM. Accessible within the , this UI allows users to conveniently select their preferred version of EXata to run. Additionally, users can choose to start simulations with either a JSON or configuration file.

EXata CPS 1.1 is not compatible with the new UI. Only EXata CPS 8.1.3, the latest version, is compatible with the new UI in HYPERSIM. This updated version includes many changes from EXata CPS 1.1, with significant improvements in configuring packet modification (MODP) attacks. Release notes for EXata CPS 8.1.3 can be found here:
