Install the OP4810-IO expansion unit on a table or in a mounting rack with sufficient space on both sides to allow proper airflow cooling (about 15 cm or 6 in.).

Tabletop use

  • You can install the four (4) rubber feet included with the bundle.

Rack Mount

The rack mounting brackets with handles are normally assembled to the expansion unit and ready to mount in a 19'' rack.

Connect the Power and Ground

  • Connect the power cord to the unit and to an appropriate power source (outlet).

  • If installed in a rack, connect the ground screw to the rack, if installed in a rack.
See how to connect the ground screw here.

Connect Ethernet Ports Between Units

Use the Ethernet cable provided (P/N T00-0748, 7 feet [2.1 m] cable) to connect port LAN2 (enp38s0) port at the back of the OP5025XG simulator to the Ethernet port #1 at the front of the OP4810-IO.
This link is used to flash the bitstream stored on the OP5025XG in the OP4810-IO FPGA when a model is executed.

Turn on the Main Switch of the OP4810-IO

  • Turn on the main power switch in the back of the OP4810-IO.

Make sure that the main power switch at the rear of the unit is easily accessible for emergency shutdown

DO NOT POWER UP THE OP4810-IO immediately. Respect the power on and power off sequence.
