Half Bridge Converter
EHS SOLVER HSCS SOLVER
This block implements a single-phase half bridge converter. This two-level switching cell is a fundamental building block in power electronic converters, composed of two complementary Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) connected in series between the positive and negative terminals of a DC voltage source. The midpoint between the two IGBTs defines the output terminal of the cell.
Parameters
EHS SOLVER
Internal on resistance (Ron) | The switch internal on resistance, in ohms (Ω). |
|---|---|
Internal off Resistance (Roff) | The switch internal off resistance, in ohms (Ω). |
Blocking method (Bm) | Method used to calculate the blocking voltage when none of the switches are conducting.
|
Gate control signal (g1) | The signal to control on/off state of the upper switch. |
Gate control signal (g2) | The signal to control on/off state of the lower switch. |
Discrete-time switch conductance (Gs) | The discrete-time switch conductance, in S. This parameter is only visible for eHS Gen4 (Nodal Analysis). See How to tune discrete-time switch condutance for detailed explanation. |
Prediction (Pred) | The prediction parameter of the switch. This parameter is only visible for eHS Gen5 (State-space Analysis) and when “Blocking method” is “Quasi-supra”. See How to tune two-level switches for detailed explanation. |
Relaxation (Relax) | The relaxation parameter of the switch. This parameter is only visible for eHS Gen5 (State-space Analysis) and when “Blocking method” is “Quasi-supra”. See How to tune two-level switches for detailed explanation. |
Capacitance (Cb) | Blocking capacitance value. This parameter is only visible for eHS Gen5 (State-space Analysis) and when “Blocking method” is “Snubber capacitor” |
