Single Phase Three Winding Transformer

This block implements a three-winding transformer (1 primary, 1 secondary, 1 tertiary).

The single-phase three-winding transformer component models three coupled windings on the same core. The magnetization inductance

is linear and modeled on the primary side of the transformer. Core losses are modeled as
resistance located on the primary side of the transformer.

Parameters

Parameters

Primary Winding

Ideal

When this option is enabled, the primary leakage resistance and inductance are so small that they can be neglected.

Nominal voltage (V1)

The nominal voltage V, in volts RMS, of the primary winding.

Resistance (R1)

The resistance, in ohms, of the primary winding.

Leakage inductance (L1)

The leakage inductance, in henries, of the primary winding.

Initial current (I1)

The initial current A, in amperes, of the primary winding.

Secondary Winding

Ideal

When this option is enabled, the secondary leakage resistance and inductance are so small that they can be neglected

Nominal voltage (V2)

The nominal voltage V, in volts RMS, of the secondary winding.

Resistance (R2)

The resistance, in ohms, of the secondary winding.

Leakage inductance (L2)

The leakage inductance, in henries, of the secondary winding.

Initial current (I2)

The initial current A, in amperes, of the secondary winding.

Tertiary Winding

Ideal

When this option is enabled, the tertiary leakage resistance and inductance are so small that they can be neglected

Nominal voltage (V3)

The nominal voltage V, in volts RMS, of the tertiary winding.

Resistance (R3)

The resistance, in ohms, of the tertiary winding.

Leakage inductance (L3)

The leakage inductance, in henries, of the tertiary winding.

Initial current (I3)

The initial current A, in amperes, of the tertiary winding.

Magnetization

Ideal

When this option is enabled, the core resistance and core inductance are set to very high values, so the magnetization branch is neglected.

Resistance (Rm)

The resistance and inductance simulating the core active and reactive losses.

Inductance (Lm)

The resistance and inductance simulating the core active and reactive losses.

Initial current (Im)

The initial current A, in amperes, of the magnetizing inductance.
