Simulator Setup

Simulator setup defines the hardware configuration and the I/O interfaces available on a given simulator. It also defines the number of analog and digital channels available for connections.

The simulator setup also provides information about the FPGA resources included in the firmware for electrical circuit simulation. For example, on any given firmware, the user finds the number of machine instances they can use for simulation.

The figure below shows the modal dialog for managing Simulator Setup. In this example, the active Setup is using an OP5707 chassis.

The selected firmware version displays relevant information, and the revision category at the bottom of the table allows the user to know that they are using the latest revision of the firmware version.

In order to add connections between the model and the analog and digital I/O of the simulator, a simulator setup must be configured.

See the Configuring a Setup for Your Simulation section to learn more about creating, selecting, and modifying a setup.
