HP Bus Bar Box
Description
The HP Bus Bar box is a power distribution system featuring an internal busbar that provides a common connection between OP8110 amplifiers and up to two external DUTs.
Front and Rear Panels
Configuration
6 × rear-panel connection points (three-phase and neutral) to connect from the OP8110 amplifiers to the internal common busbar
2 × front-panel connection points (three-phase and neutral) to connect separate external DUTs to the common internal busbar (fused at 100A per line)

Start - Enables DUT connection
Off - Disables DUT connection
Status Indicator LED
Flashing – Enable active, waiting for remote command
Solid ON – DUT connection enabled (contactor closed)
OFF – DUT connection disabled (contactor opened)
24V ON - Auxiliary power LED indicator
BUS ON - LED indicator (ON when at least 60VRMS is detected on any line voltage (L-L))
Rear-Panel
6 sets of 3W + N banana jack terminals for connection with OP8110 amplifiers
DI - DB37 connector, digital inputs for controlling the contactors
DO - DB37 connector, digital outputs forwarded from unused digital inputs
AO1 - DB37 connector, analog output voltage measurement signals
AO2 - DB37 connector, analog output current measurement signals
ETH - RJ45 plug for ethernet cable connection
P1 (24VDC) - connector, 24V supply - supports daisy-chaining with other compatible boxes
ETH/DIO - toggle switch, selects the source of the internal contactor control, either Ethernet or digital I/O.
GND - Voltage Reference / Functional Ground banana jack
Protective Earth (PE) grounding stud
Contactor Control
Each DUT output is switched by contactors, which can be remotely controlled via Ethernet or digital I/O signals, selectable using the associated toggle switch on the rear panel. In addition to the remote signal, the physical local Enable button must also be active for the contactor to close, providing an extra layer of safety.

SAFETY WARNING!
The protective earth (PE) connection of the Device Under Test (DUT) is the responsibility of the user.
Operation of a DUT with exposed conductive parts without a proper protective earth (PE) connection may result in an electric shock hazard.

Max continuous amplifier terminal current: 14 ARMS per line

WARNING! The rear panel banana jack terminals should be used for connecting to/from the OP8110 amplifiers only.

Digital IO Connectors
These female DB37 connectors are provided to interface with the digital outputs of an IO card inside a simulator. The digital inputs on DI connector allow to switch ON (logical '1') or OFF (logical '0') the DUT contactors when the DUT Enable button is activated. The following table lists the pin assignments of this connector:

DO connector can be used to access the unused digital outputs of the IO card, by daisy chaining another equipment to the HP BUS BAR. Please contact your OPAL-RT representative if you require further information on this feature.
Analog Output Connectors
Two female DB37 connectors provide the voltage (AO1) and current (AO2) measurement signals.
