PDU
Page Contents
Description
The PDU receives 3-phase 380–480 VAC input and distributes power to the test bench’s DC power supplies and amplifiers. It provides DC protection, monitoring, 24 V control power for the main contactor and bus bar boxes, and 12 V auxiliary power for amplifier control circuits. The PDU integrates with the E-Stop Module for safe Start/Stop operation and emergency shutdown.
It also features three DC chopper circuits to dissipate excess energy on power resistors in case of DC bus overvoltage.

PDU Features
Main Power Terminals (L1, L2, L3, GND): Rated up to 60 A for the 3-phase AC input.
AC_OUT Connectors: Supply AC power to the Itech DC power supplies (see Note 1).
DC_IN Connectors: Accept DC power from the DC power supplies (see Note 1).
DC_OUT Connectors: Distribute DC power to the OP8110 amplifiers (see Note 1).
AUX Connectors: Provide 12 VDC auxiliary power to the OP8110 amplifiers.
P1 Connector: Interface to the E-Stop module for Start/Stop and emergency shutdown.
Internal AC Supply: 100–240 VAC entry module powers the internal 12 V and 24 V power supplies.
Maximum Rated Voltage: 500 V to ground.
Note 1: The PDU supports power distribution to up to three ITECH DC power supplies and can deliver the corresponding DC output to up to three OP8110-6 amplifiers.
