Changing the IP Address
Please note that it is not required to connect an ethernet cable to the OP8110 amplifier for normal operation. An ethernet connection is only required when the OP8110 firmware must be updated.
The OP8110 is preconfigured with an IP address (an identifying label will be attached to the unit), but it may conflict with your network infrastructure; you may need to change the IP address for your 4QPA. The best way to do this is to directly connect your OP8110 to your host computer (laptop, etc.). (Be sure to contact your IT department to obtain a valid IP address from them).
Install the serial terminal application (MobaXterm) on your computer:
Using an internet browser go to MobaTek’s MobaXterm website: http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/
Click on the Download section.
Select the Home Edition version of MobaXterm and click Download Now.
Select the portable edition of MobaXterm Home.
Save the file in a known location on your computer.
Extract the contents of the zip file and double-click on the extracted executable of MobaXterm i.e.: MobaXterm_Personal_20.2.exe the program will start (note that there is no need to install anything on your computer).
In MobaXterm:
Click the Sessions button to start a new session
In the Session Settings window, click the SSH button and enter the current IP address of the amplifier:
Check “Specify username” and enter the username. (Please contact OPAL-RT Technical Support to get the username)

Once you have connected to the session, use the command config -a to access the OP4200 configuration menu (the OP4200's control system has been carried over to the OP8110 amplifier).
Once you change the IP address, your SSH session will be disconnected, and you will need to use the new IP address to connect again.
Save a screenshot of the new network information to ensure you don’t get locked out of the OP8110.
In the OP4200 System Configuration screen, select “1 Configure Network” and click OK.

IP address
Subnet Mask
Gateway

Click Submit.
A confirmation screen appears.
You will then be disconnected from the SSH session as the IP information has changed.
Create a new SSH session (as outlined in the first steps) to connect to the OP8110 to verify it has updated as expected.
Click “4 Exit”
Close MobaXterm
Your OP8110 is now ready to use and can be connected to your network. Once it is connected to the network, you should test communication by pinging the OP8110 from your computer.
Flashing a new bitstream
First make sure you have MobaXterm (v23.2 or higher) to connect to the OP8110 power amplifier via SSH.
Open MobaXterm to connect to the OP8110 Power Amplifier
Start a new remote session in MobaXterm, select SSH and provide the OP8110's IP address (it must be mentioned on the OP8110 front panel)
Check the checkbox to specify a username
Please contact OPAL-RT Technical Support for the username and password.
Port : 22
Make sure the bistream is saved on your local PC. Then, drag and drop the bitstream under root.
Run the following command
/usr/opalrt/common/bin/OP4200_fpgaUtility -p <Name of the bitstream>
e.g.
MEZX5-AX-0001-3_3_OP8110_AMP4Q2_3-OP8110_STANDALONE-DC-82.bin
To confirm/know the flashed bitstream onto the OP8110, run the following command
OP4200_fpgaUtility -b
