Description
Asynchronous Serial Interface is a widely used serial interface standard for industrial applications especially, gyroscope. The Asynchronous Serial Interface communication block encapsulates data characters between start bits and stops bits. It takes bytes of data and transmits the individual bits in a sequential fashion. At the destination, a second Asynchronous Serial Interface device re-assembles the bits into complete bytes.
Parameters
Sample Period | Specify the system clock period. This parameter is not accessible to the user. |
---|
Baud Rate | Specify the baud rate of the interface. |
---|
RXD | Receive Serial data port. |
---|
DATAIN | This port holds the 8 bits data to be serialized. |
---|
VALIDIN | This port is used to specify that the data present on port DATAIN is valid. |
---|
Outputs
TXD | Transmit Serial data port. |
---|
DATAOUT | This port holds the 8 bits data after de-serialization. |
---|
VALIDOUT | This port indicates that data present on port DATAOUT is valid. |
