The objective of any performance index is to evaluate quantitatively and qualitatively the operation of an equipment and allow comparisons to be made between various configurations. In this example the equipment is based upon an electric supply - static converter - load interaction and, therefore, the performance indices are derived from measured electric variables as voltages and currents. The most used indices are presented in Table I.
