Users may want to rotate components to ease the circuit's connections, or to make them more aesthetically pleasing.

To rotate a component:

  • Select the component you want to rotate.
  • Selected items have blue boxes around them.

  • Click either Edit > Rotate Clockwise or Rotate Counterclockwise, depending on the action you'd like to perform.
    • Or use the Button on top of the canvas.
    • Or right-click to open the context menu and select Rotate Clockwise or Rotate Counterclockwise
  • Note that Rotate works in 90-degree increments, so turning a component four times rotates it 360 degrees, and thus returns it to its original position.
  • The hotkeys, or shortcut keys, for Rotate are CTRL+R (right, or clockwise), or CTRL+SHIFT+R (left, or counter-clockwise).

Alternately, you can click on the small circle with an arrow (close to the block) to rotate the component. Wait for the cursor to turn to a hand icon while hovering over the circular arrow, then click the left mouse button, and rotate the component freely.
