The speed regulator is responsible for producing the gate opening signal x, based on the measurement of speed w signal. The regulation characteristic is slightly different from the hydraulic model, since it does not depends on electric power Pe.
The block diagram of the speed regulator, including the servo-valve, is illustrated in Figure 5 - 25.
