In order to run the examples provided by the eFPGASIM electrical machine library, the user must be equipped with one of the simulators below.

OP4815 Chassis (High End)

Application Scope

We recommend the use of the OP4815 for models requiring any of the followings:

  • Up to 32 Analog I/O channels (Aout at 10 MSPS)
  • Up to 64 bi-directional Digital I/O channels
  • More than two similar electrical machines model required on a single FPGA
  • Large converter topologies that need to be simulated on the FPGA (eHSx128 is required)
  • More than four high-speed serials I/O links

Recommended I/O Module Configuration

Table 1 describes the standard I/O modules provides with the OP4815 simulators for testing machine controls. This configuration allows running the various off-the-shelf machines examples that come with eFPGASIM software.

OP5607/OP5707 Chassis (High End)

Application Scope

We recommend the use of the OP5707 / OP5607 for models requiring any of the followings:

  • More than 32 Analog I/O channels
  • More than 64 Digital I/O channels
  • More than two similar electrical machines model required on a single FPGA
  • Large converter topologies that need to be simulated on the FPGA (eHSx128 is required)
  • Complex multi-core CPU simulation (more than 3 cores is required) used for simulating controls or large power system network
  • More than four high-speed serials I/O links
