Permission Requirements
In the following sections, the following symbols are used:
%HYPERSIM_DIR%: The path to the HYPERSIM installation.
By default, this value is C:\OPAL-RT\HYPERSIM\hypersim_version; where hypersim_version is the folder of the current version, for example, "hypersim_2021.3.1.o187".
%USERPROFILE%: The user directory. By default, this value is C:\Users\userName; where userName is the Windows user name, for example, "JohnSmith"
Note 1: HYPERSIM currently does not support spaces in this path.
Note 2: In some rare cases, user names with capital letters may trigger errors when writing to the target code directory. If such an issue occurs, please use the Target Manager Diagnostic to get additional information.

UDP ports 137, 138 and TCP ports 139 and 445 must be freed for the successful running of HYPERSIM, as Windows 10 disables them by default in certain configurations (e.g. guest access). Please contact your IT department in case of issues with Samba2. HYPERSIM uses UDP protocol on ports 137-138 and TCP ports 139, 445 to exchange information between the localhost and the target.
