The Load Management Control block is responsible for regulating the flow of the load (active power) through the Point of Common Coupling (PCC), when the microgrid is connected to an external AC-grid, by allowing the user to adjust the active power settings.
Mask and Parameters
The Load Management Controller block contains the following configuration mask:
...
Name | Unit | Description |
---|---|---|
Sampling time | s | Time step for the simulation |
Diesel minimum power | pu | Minimum values for Diesel generation |
Diesel maximum power | pu | Maximum values for Diesel generation |
BESS maximum power | pu | Maximum values available for BESS |
Load shedding maximum reduction | pu | Maximum values of Load shedding reduction |
Inputs, Outputs and Signals Available for Monitoring
Inputs
Name | Unit | Description |
---|---|---|
RER P ref | pu | Combined reference powers for all Renewable Energy Resources (RERs) (WT+PV) |
Total load P ref | pu | Combined reference powers for all loads (DR, Sheddable, Critical and PHIL) |
Sheddable load P ref | pu | User-defined power reference for sheddable load |
Excess load P ref | pu | Excess load within the Microgrid (greater than 0 means load must be reduced) |
Demand Response load P ref | pu | User-defined power reference for Demand Response (DR) load |
Islanded | - | Specifies whether the Microgrid is islanded/Grid connected (0 = Grid connected, 1 = islanded) |
Dispatch mode | - | Internal mode of the real-power (dispatch) controller |
Outputs
Name | Unit | Description |
---|---|---|
Total load reduction | pu | Total amount of load reduction used to adjust the BESS's power reference. |
Demand Response load P ref | pu | Power reference sent to the demand response load |
Demand Response load reduced | - | Status of the demand response load (0= load is not reduced, 1 = load is reduced) |
Sheddable load P ref | pu | Power reference sent to the sheddable load |
Load shedded | - | Status of the sheddable load (0 = load is not shedded, 1= load is shedded) |
