To measure current or voltage:
Current or voltage can be either sent to analog output or to models running on the CPU.
Add blocks from the Meters section of the library browser to do so.
Several blocks exist in the library, so you can add voltage and current meters as required.
Measuring Voltage(s):
Voltage is measured between two potential nodes of the circuit.
Drag and drop a Voltmeter block from the Meters library to your circuit.
Connect
thethe Voltmeter block to each of the two potential nodes of the circuit.
By default, the control port of the voltmeter block sends the measured voltage to the CPU model running in HYPERSIM or RT-LAB.
If you want to send the measured value to analog output, follow the steps described in Adding I/O to an Electrical Circuit.

If you need to measure voltage between a specific node of the circuit and a node that has been given a specific name, use the Voltmeter node block to do so.
To add a name to a specific node in the circuit, add an Electrical node block. This node of the circuit can then be used to measure the voltage.
Measuring Current(s):
Current is measured in the branches of circuits.
Drag an Ammeter block from the Meters library to your circuit.
Then connect the Ammeter block inside a branch of your circuit.
By default the control port of the ammeter block sends the measure current to the CPU model running in HYPERSIM or RT-LAB.
If you want to send the measured value to analog output, follow the steps described in Adding IO to an Electrical Circuit.

To measure voltage between two locations (nodes) of the circuit:
In the example below, say you'd like to measure the voltage between the positive terminals of the source vsrc1 and of the resistance r1.
Add an Electrical node block, as below, to identify the vsrc1 node of the circuit.
Specify the name of the new node in the Parameters sidebar.
Add a Voltmeter Node block, as below, to measure the voltage at the r1 terminal.
Specify the reference electrical node of the voltmeter in the Parameters sidebar.
Note that the v1 in the dialog below corresponds to the v1 in the name of the electrical node.
There you go, the voltage measurement is now taken between the source vsrc1 and the resistance r1.
