To create a panel, simply use the “+” button () in the navigation pane and select “Panel”. See 1. Menus and Navigation Pane for more information.
Diagrams
The region where widgets are displayed is referred to as the diagram in this documentation.
The sidebar shows the parameters of the selected widget.

Libraries
All libraries are accessible from the Libraries menu. See 4. Widgets Library.
To add a widget to a diagram, open the Libraries menu with the “+” button located in the bottom-left corner of the diagram.

Editing a panel
With the Edit mode you can add, connect, move, edit or delete widgets. In this mode, the widget data value cannot be edited.
The Operate mode disables all edition functions, but allows manipulation of the widget data value. The sidebar is no longer accessible since the widgets cannot be selected, except when using double-click on a widgets.

The selected mode is shared by all panels for a given window.

However, you may “pop out” a panel (using its context menu in the navigation pane), and select a different mode there — it will not be propagated to the main window.
Showing and pinning the Sidebar
The sidebar open automatically when a diagram item is selected. It can be pinned open with the pin button next to the “Edit/Operate” toggle button.

Double-clicking on a widget temporary open the sidebar while the selection last , whether being in Edit or Operate mode.
Diagram Navigation
Panning on a diagramcan be done either by holding the spacebar and dragging, right click down and drag, or using keyboard arrows.
Buttons to zoom, toggle the grid and fit the diagram to the window are located in the bottom-right corner.

Context Menu
When an element on the diagram is selected, the context menu can be opened (by doing a right click) with the following options: “Snap to Grid”, "Cut", "Copy", “Delete” and options to change the z-order of a widget.

How to export and import a panel
The “Export” option from the sidebar opens a File dialog in order to select a folder and exports the selected panel to the chosen location. The exported panel can be shared and reused by using “Import” option located at the top of the “Board” menu of the “Sidebar”.

The connections that depends on external elements such as data points fro RT-LAB models or Hypersim signals aren’t preserved with an exported panel. Otherwise, all connections that are connected to elements in the Panel are exported. |
