Page Contents

The OP5357 and OP5358 modules feature 32 differential input channels compliant with RS-422 or LVDS standards.

Three options are available:

  • OP5357: LVDS inputs.

  • OP5358-3: 3V RS-422 inputs

  • OP5358-5: 5V RS-422 inputs

Main Features

  • 32 differential input channels organized into two banks of 16 channels each

  • Galvanic isolation

  • RS-422 or LVDS compliant, depending on the module selected

Channel Description

The schematic below represents the electrical circuit of one channel: the signal coming from the user's unit-under-test is supplied to the channel inputs. It goes through three stages of conditioning : galvanic isolation, RS-422 or LVDS conditioning, and level-shifting to make it compatible with the simulator's FPGA input lines.

Typical Use Cases

Respecting the RS-422 or LVDS standards, the modules are perfectly suited for long-distance signaling. They have been tested with up to 30 m cables between the simulator and the unit under test.

Please refer to the OP5300 Hardware Platforms Compatibility page to verify module compatibility with your real-time simulator or your FPGA processor and I/O expansion unit.
