Necessary Parameters

To establish the winding functions of a particular machine, one needs to know the following parameters and information:

• The number of poles;
• The number of slots in the stator armature;
• The number of conductors per slot;
• The number of parallel windings per phase;
• The slot sequence for each individual winding.

With this information, the winding function for each winding and for each whole phase can be calculated.
