This feature outputs a synchronization signal on the TRIG OUT BNC that is available on the front panel of the Base Module. It is used to synchronize a capture device such as an oscilloscope or a logic analyzer.
It can generate a trigger pulse, 200 ns long, based on either the model synchronization, the high-resolution signal or a specified value of the engine position.
Three controls are made available to the user in the Base Module run-time panel:
- Trig. mode: allow the user to specify which signal to output at the BNC connector. Supported values are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
0 | Output a pulse at a specific engine position specified by Trig. Output value. |
1 | Output the model synchronization signal |
2 ( * ) | Output the high-resolution signal (Hi RES) produces by the RPG module |
3 ( * ) | Output the RESET signal of the RPG module |
( * ) Modes 2 and 3 are not yet supported
- Trig. output: specify the angular position (expressed as a high-resolution count, .i.e. 5000 for 500° at 0.1 resolution) at which the trigger output produces the pulse. Compatible only with trigger mode = 0.
- Trig. enable: activate the trigger output (1), or disable it (0).
