HIL2GO-100 - Firmware Files Download

Note that in the overall OPAL-RT user documentation, the words “bitstream” and “firmware” are used as synonyms.

The zip file below contains all the firmware and configuration files you may need, depending on your project workflow.

File Description

The .conf file is a block parameters configuration file in a readable format. It is only used in the S-function workflow.

Each bitstream using analog or digital I/O channels comes with a .conf configuration file that lists the data port number and the corresponding I/O modules (or cards) location in the system. The configuration file name is the same as the bitstream file name entered in the OpCtrl block, with the extension .conf instead of .bin. This configuration file uses different parameters to describe the location of the I/O channels, depending on the FPGA associated with the controller they are attached to.

The .conf file is located in the same location as the .bin file in the project tree structure, under the File system branch.

The example below depicts an analog output card in an OP4512 simulator, but it’s the same principle for any kind of I/Os and simulators.

In the example, we see that the content of the two lines, in blue and green, in the .conf file (left) correspond to the content in the two Block Parameter windows (right).

  • A physical analog out (AO or AOUT) card is located at Group 2, Section B, Subsection 1 (2 B 1) for AOUT channels 00 to 07 (in blue) and Group 2, Section B, Subsection 2 (2 B 2) for AOUT channels 08 to 15 (in green).

  • We see that the:

    • DataIn port number is 19 for AOUT channels 00 to 07 (in blue)

    • DataIn port number is 20 for AOUT channels 08 to 15 (in blue)
