The HYPERSIM Hyperline tools compute the RLC parameters of an overhead transmission line from its conductor characteristics and tower geometry.
When you click the Line Data in the HYPERVIEW, the GUI is displayed as shown in Figure 1–2
The default parameters are for a single-circuit three-phase line with two ground wires.
Enter your own line parameters in various sections:
Description | The upper section where you enter general parameters (units, frequency, ground resistivity, and comments). |
---|---|
Line Geometry | The table of conductors specifying the line geometry and the conductor types (middle section). |
Conductor and bundle characteristics | The table of conductor types defining the conductor characteristics for each type (bottom section). |
Line Data Report | Report the electrical parameters of the line computed by the program. |
Hypersim Line | You can select the line type, name, transposed, or not and then apply line parameters to the HYPERSIM model selected. |
New case | Begin a new case with all parameters set to zero. |
Load | The open file supports two types of files.
|
Save | Saves your line data by generating a *.hld (hyperline data file) file that contains the geometrical information and the line data. |
Compute Data | Computes the line data, the results are shown in the Line Data Report. |
Info | Loads the PDF help file. |
Units | In the pull-down menu, select “SI” of “PU”. |
Default Parameters | Loads default parameter values. |
