Power Electronics Add-On 1.12.0

Release Date: Jul 5, 2022

  • Improved build process of the Power Electronics Add-On to eliminate the possibility of cross-dependency conflicts with other custom devices running alongside the Power Electronics Add-On. 

  • Added new hardware configuration for the PXIe-7861R ((Archived) RCP_IO_7861R).

  • Improved file path management by converting the paths for circuits, machines and scenario files to relative paths (with respect to the VeriStand project) instead of absolute paths.

  • Added the Java Runtime Engine dependency to the Power Electronics Add-On installer.

  • Added support for the Initial Angle Offset parameter for the PMSM SH machine.

  • Added support for very low latency communication between the CPU and FPGA (VeriStand 2019 and 2020 only).

  • Added support for new Telemetry Channels (VeriStand 2019 and 2020 only).

  • Added support for a CPU Assignment UI to allow users assign the CPU cores used by the Power Electronics Add-On Engine (VeriStand 2019 and 2020 only).

  • Refer to the Power Electronics Add-On 1.11.0 [Restricted] Release Notes for more information about changes included in version 1.11 of the Power Electronics Add-On.

The next release of the Power Electronics Add-On will not support VeriStand 2018.  The Phar Lap operating system for Real Time systems will also no longer be supported.

As of version 1.12.0, support for the Phar Lap operating system is no longer available in the Power Electronics Add-On for VeriStand 2019 and 2020. Real Time targets running Phar Lap are still supported in VeriStand 2018.
