Description

Writes blocks of data to shared memory created by SCGTInit block. The size and address of the blocks is determined by the number of words and block number(1-128). The SCGTwrite block performs write PIO(programmed input/output) transfers to GT memory. The SCGTwrite block writes data from the Simulink data buffer to GT memory and then sends a network interrupt if one is specified by SCGT SendInterrupt block. GT200 card has 128MB memory size, maximum 1677216 words each word of 8 byte can be written on the GT200 card.

Parameters

Node ID

The network supports up to 255 nodes. Each node on the GT network has an associated node ID. Node refers to each GT200 card. When a node transmits a native packet, it sends its node ID as part of the packet header. When a node receives a data packet, it compares its own node ID with the node ID in the received packet header. If the node IDs match, the packet is identified as a native packet and is not retransmitted.

Note that this field becomes read-only when a SCGT Init block is present.

PCI slot

If two or more boards of same type are physically present in the target PC, enter the PCI slot number of the board associated with this driver block (if only one card is present in a target PCI slot no will be 0).

Note that this field becomes read-only when a SCGT Init block is present.

Number of words

Number of words to be read from GT200 card is to be mentioned.

Offset address

This parameter is to set the offset address, the memory offset is assigned by block number between 1-128. Total GT200 memory is 128MB. Example, block number 1 is 0-1MB size, start offset address will be 0x0000 from where the data is to be read.

Note that only one SCGT Write block can be used at a time. Otherwise, an error will be thrown to prevent overwriting data in the same memory.

Sample time

The sampling rate in seconds.

Inputs

  • Data IN: Data in the shared memory will be written using the address specified in the base address plus the offset if applicable. The width of this input determines the number of values placed in the shared memory.

Outputs

This block has no outputs.
