Selecting Elements
Most actions in the schematic editor are performed using the current/active selection, indicated by a blue bounding box. Moving, adding, removing and modifying objects or components are all done using selection beforehand.
You can select individual elements with the mouse, add to group selections, remove from group selections, and/or drag diagonally to multiple select an entire region of the schematic.
The following elements can be selected:
- Blocks/components
- Signals and signal junctions
- Image and text helper blocks
- Ports
To select an object:
- Click the icon of the object in the working area.
To select multiple items simultaneously:
- Select a part of the model by clicking to the above left and dragging diagonally to the lower right of the circuit, encompassing the model.
- All selected model elements turn blue, showing that they are selected.
- When all blocks are selected, the selection can be moved as one.
To add elements to your selection:
- With your current selection active, SHIFT + click or CTRL + click to add items to your selection.
To remove individual elements from your selection:
- With your current selection active, CTRL + click to remove individual items.
