Hardware Requirements

The hardware requirements for the CMDE Add-On vary based on the selected Hardware Configuration. Each configuration implements different chipsets, IO counts, FPGA types, and modeling capabilities.

Unless stated otherwise, there are no restrictions on the NI PXI chassis and controller models to be used with each supported configuration. Since every application has a unique set of requirements and may require additional hardware (ex. DAQ, XNET, etc), the chassis and controller should be selected on a case-by-case basis. Additional information regarding specific FPGA requirements can be found on the description page for each Hardware Configuration.

In addition to the components listed below, an SPI Master device is required to transmit and receive information to and from the emulated cell monitoring devices. The SPI Master is the device under test.
