Control Smart Inverters

The Smart Inverter Control Library is a HYPERSIM control and protection library developed based on the requirements of IEEE Std. 1547‐2018. It includes control library for both grid forming and grid following converters. The grid following control library includes current controllers, power controllers, protection functions, and certain configurable grid support functions, such as Constant Power Factor (CPF), Volt-Var, and Droop. The grid forming control library includes a secondary control approach, two types of inner control approaches and three types of primary control approaches.  The Smart Inverter Control library allows users to quickly perform Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) of smart inverter controllers with their Real-Time Simulator. When performing RCP, the simulator acts as the controller and is interfaced with a real power converter.
