Description

The OP5966 is an RTSI converter module that converts synchronization signals from copper to fiber optic.

Added to a standard rack (using an optional clip) or mounted on a desktop, it allows users to switch from copper cable connection to fiber optic.

The change to fiber optic cables means that longer cable lengths (30 m) can be used without affecting signal quality.

Because the repeater acts as a link, it must be used at each end of the extension cable.

Features

The OP5966 chassis has two separate sections for input and output connectors:

IN
AUX SOURCE	fiber optic signal input from source (master) connected to OP5966.
MAIN SOURCE	Copper RTSI signal input from simulator source (master).
OUT
CU	RTSI copper signal output to target simulator (slave).
FB	fiber optic signal output to OP5966.
