HIL2GO-200 - eHS and Schematic Editor

Page Content

The firmware delivered in this project contains an eHS solver that can be used with OPAL-RT Schematic Editor.

Files to Download

Please download the two files below, on your host Windows PC, as you will need them to execute your model and configure Schematic Editor.

  • The “.bin” file is the firmware file needed to compile your model and execute it on the target.

  • The “.ioconf” file is the firmware configuration file you will need to install in Schematic Editor on your Windows host.

Importing the Custom Firmware Configuration File in Schematic Editor

The system is delivered has a custom firmware configuration. Therefore, the custom firmware configuration file must be added to the Schematic Editor database in order to use eHS.
The required firmware files, including the *.ioconf file can be downloaded above.

You only have to add the firmware configuration file once.

To add the new firmware configuration file in the Schematic Editor, open Schematic Editor from Windows and follow this procedure: Including a new firmware

Configuring a Setup for a New Simulation Project

To add connections between the model and the analog and digital I/Os of the simulator, a Simulator Setup must be configured when you start a new project.
This setup defines the type of I/O interface a simulator provides, as well as the available hardware resources.
The procedure is explained here : Configuring a Setup for Your Simulation
