Analog Inputs Section
Analog Inputs Configuration Page
This page is populated with a list of the Analog Input channels available for the selected Hardware Configuration. Gains, offsets, minimum and maximum saturation factors can be applied to the signals acquired using the analog input channels.
The following configuration options are available at edit-time for each channel:
Analog Input Settings | |||
Gain | Signal gain. The raw signal is multiplied by this value before the Offset, Min, and Max saturation are applied. | ||
Offset | DC offset of the signal. This value is added after the Gain has been applied. | ||
Min | Lower saturation limit of the signal. It is applied after the Gain and Offset. | ||
Max | Upper saturation limit of the signal. It is applied after the Gain and Offset. |
The following configuration options are available at edit-time and applied to all channels:
Analog Input Settings | |
Enable Gain and Offset as Channels | Enables execution-time updates of the signal gain and offset. When this option is enabled, an Advanced subsection is created under the Analog Inputs section and populated with ConnX.AIXX Gain and ConnX.AIXX Frequency custom device channels as described in the Channels table below. |
Analog Inputs Section Channels
This section includes the following custom device channels:
Channel Name | Type | Units | Default Value | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
AIXX | Output | Volts | 0V | Raw analog data read by the FPGA on channel AI<XX>. The data has not been conditioned by the Gain, Offset, Min, and Max parameters. To view the conditioned signals at a higher resolution, consider using Waveforms instead. The Analog Inputs section is populated with one ConnX.AIXX channel for each Analog Input channel available in the selected Hardware Configuration. |
AIXX Gain | Input |
| Gain | Signal Gain to apply to channel ConnX.AI<XX>. When Enable Gain and Offset as Channels is enabled, the Analog Inputs >> Advanced >> Gain section is populated with one ConnX.AIXX Gain channel for each Analog Input channel. The default value of this channel is the value of the Gain parameter in the Analog Inputs Configuration Page. |
AIXX Offset | Input | Volts | Offset | DC Offset to apply to channel ConnX.AI<XX>. When Enable Gain and Offset as Channels is enabled, the Analog Inputs >> Advanced >> Offset section is populated with one ConnX.AIXX Offset channel for each Analog Input channel. The default value of this channel is the value of the Offset parameter in the Analog Inputs Configuration Page. |
Conditioned Analog Input signals can be mapped to other simulation components by navigating to their respective configuration pages listed below. Mapping options may vary between Hardware Configurations.
