Migrating an OP4510v2 Real-time Simulator from Red Hat Linux 5 to OPAL-RTLinux 3.5.4
This procedure is ONLY VALID for OP4510 V2.x with operating system Red Hat Linux 5. Once upgraded, the OP4510 will be considered OP4510 V2.2.
This procedure will guide you step by step throughout the process of migrating an OP4510 V2 from Red Hat Linux 5 to OPAL-RTLinux 3.5.4.
RT-LAB version 2024.2 and up and HYPERSIM version 2024.2 and up won’t be supported on Red Hat Linux 5.
They will require OPAL-RTLinux 3.5.4 and up to run.
The upgrade can be ordered by contacting your local sales representative.
This procedure includes backing up important system settings and files before migration, but no personal files will be backed up. All system settings and files will be copied to the new OPAL-RTLinux OS installation.
Take note that the migration process will delete permanently all data existing content on the internal SSD (Solid-State Drive). Make sure to copy all personal files before launching the migration procedure.
