LDF Management User Interface
User Interface
Description
The LDF Management User Interface allows to have easy access to the information enclosed into an LDF file. The network data organization can be clearly visualized with the help of a tree view which, can be also used later to select nodes or messages to be generated as Matlab/SIMULINK blocks.
GUI's panel is divided into the following sections:
LDF file selection | Browse and select the target LDF file. |
---|---|
LDF configuration viewer/selecter | Groups all the elements related to the manipulation and browsing of the LDF file content. |
View type selection | This combo box provides two types of views: Network/ECU based and Frame ID Based. |
Browse LDF data | Browse the selected LDF file content organized as a tree. |
Selected LDF frames | List the selected LDF frames that shall be generated as Matlab/SIMULINK blocks. |
Message generation mode | Select the generation mode for the global model generation process. |
In order to launch LDF GUI two requirements are necessary:
- On the OpCanAc2_LDF_PCI_Ctrl_block the "System Configuration From" popup menu must show the option "LDFW/GUI".
- On the OpCanAc2_LDF_PCI_Ctrl_block the Configure System box must be marked
As soon as the two previous steps are accomplished LDF Management User Interface panel shall be launched. If an LDF file has previously been opened from the currentOpCanAc2 LDF PCI Ctrl block, this file is automatically opened. The user can choose and open another valid LDF file.
LDF File Selection
This section corresponds to the selection of the LDF file that is to be loaded.
LDF Configuration Viewer/Selector
This section groups all the elements that aim at the representation and selection of the LDF file content and messages.
View Type Selection
This section gives the user the option of how to view the contents of the LDF file. Two choices are available Network/ECU Based and Frame ID based views.
The first choice Network/ECU based view shows a tree representation of the LDF file organized from ECU point of view; this GUI view is shown in Figure 1. From this view the entire network or an individual ECU can be generated as Matlab/SIMULINK blocks. For further details refer to section Browse LDF data
The second choice is the Frame ID based view lists all the LIN frames for a given network organized by frame ID; this view is shown in Figure 2. From this view the entire network or an individual frame can be generated as Matlab/SIMULINK blocks. For further details refer to section Browse LDF data
Browse LDF Data
This section allows easy access to the information enclosed into an LDF file.
The following information is accessible through this section:
- Network name.
- Current network's Node list (if Network/ECU based view is selected).
- Message list for every ECU in the network (if Network/ECU based view is selected) or,
- Current network's Message list (if Frame ID based view is selected).
- Signal list for every message in the network.
- Conversions list, if the case is that a signal has a special type.
The right side of this section provides more detailed information about every item.
- For network: List of the available ECU names.
- For a given ECU: List of frame names along with their types (Send Request or Send Data).
- For a given Frame: List of available signal names.
- For a given Signal: The following information is available.
Signal's name.
Publisher.
Associated frame.
Signal size (bits).
Signal bit packing (position in frame).
Conversion Types if any.
- For a given conversion: List of conversion slots: Logical and/or Physical.
- If it is of the type Logical, there shall be a list of Logical slots showing the following information:
Computer value.
Logical meaning.
- If it is of the type Physical there shall be a list of Physical ranges showing the following information:
Scaling.
Offset.
Minimum computer value.
Maximum computer value.
Units.
In order to request the generation of a LDF file the user can:
- drag and drop a node or an attached message (it depends on the View type selection) to the Selected LDF frames window.
- right click on the selected frame (it depends on the View type selection) or Network/ECU and choose the appropriate action Add message "ID" to current selection or Add "Network or ECU" contained message(s) to the current selection respectively.
Selected LDF frames
This section contains the list of the frames that shall be generated as Matlab/SIMULINK blocks.
Each frame is displayed with the following properties:
- Frame name
- .ECU/Node attached to.
- Signal Name
- Transaction type (Send Request or Send Data)
Message Generation Mode
This section is not currently available to the user. Future needs could require to have this section available.
