Before you begin with the installation, it is important to determine the configuration you wish to use. This section describes the different configurations that can be applied to your RT-EVENTS system.
RT-EVENTS makes a distinction between the computer(s) used for development, and the computer(s) used to run the simulation, although the same computer may be used for both development or simulation.
Definitions
Command Station
Development is always done on the Command Station, a host computer using the Windows 10 operating system.
Target Nodes
The computers used to run your simulation are called target nodes or targets. Target nodes can run using Windows 10 and Redhat Linux (real-time) operating systems, allowing for a variety of simulation requirements. For super-computer performance, RT-EVENTS can be set up using a network of multi-processor computers.
Components List
There is a setup file for Windows 10 operating systems of the command station supported. Note that you don’t need to install RT-EVENTS on the target nodes. Here is a list of the files and where you can find them:
