Configuring EXata-CPS to run alongside RT-LAB
Starting from version 2024.2, EXata-CPS may not be configured to be executed automatically by RT-LAB. Please refer to the EXata-CPS documentation to setup EXata and create a RT-LAB model that has the proper I/O interfaces to configure an EXata target and send data to it.
Once with a model which has the proper I/O interfaces to run with EXata-CPS, EXata-GPS GUI can be made to run automatically when executing the model. In order to do that, open the model in RT-LAB and select the “Simulation Tools” tab:
In order to configure EXata-CPS, refer to the bottom right section “EXata CPS Settings”. The following is a table with all settings:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Auto-run EXata-CPS simulation | When checked, RT-LAB will launch EXata-CPS GUI when starting the simulation. This will open the interface on your computer the EXata simulation will run along side the RT-LAB simulation. |
Close EXata-CPS GUI on stop simulation | When checked, RT-LAB will automatically stop EXata-CPS GUI at the end of the RT-LAB simulation |
EXata CPS executable | Path to the executable of EXata-CPS to be used |
From JSON | When selected, this option will run the EXata-CPS scenario generated by the RT-LAB I/O interfaces as a json file. Since this file is generated its location cannot be changed. However, once opened, it may be saved as a .config scenario file and be opened later. |
From Config (Path) | When selected, this option allows running the EXata-CPS scenario provided as a .config file on the disk. The scenario must be compatible with the I/O interfaces of the model to use this option. |
