Get the Target's IP Address Using the Red Hat Graphical Interface

Use this procedure only if you don't know the IP address of your target to enter in MobaXterm at the configuration step in the previous page.

Start the target and login using your credentials.
- Username: root
- Password: See the Quick Start Guide accompanying the USB key.
Click on Applications ▷ Accessories ▷ Terminal

The terminal window opens.
At the prompt [root@RTServer ⁓]#, type the Linux command in lower case.
- ip a

In the paragraph beginning with eth0, check for the string of numbers after the word “inet” and write down the string before the slash (“/”).
This is the IP address you will need to enter in MobaXterm to connect remotely to the target.
In the example, the IP address is 10.64.109.235. Your IP address will likely be different.
