OP8110-3 RT-LAB Console GUI

This Simulink-based block implements an interactive GUI for the OP8110-3 amplifier, allowing the user to enable or disable the input DC-Link and individual outputs of the amplifier group, as well as monitor for the presence of any system faults.

Mask and Parameters

The GUI display layout automatically adapts to the specific configuration selected in the amplifier communication block (shown in OP8110-3 RT-LAB Communication Block). The following illustrates the layout of the GUI for the three different modes of operation possible for the amplifier group:

NOTE: The Amplifier 1, Amplifier 2, etc., labels on the Simulink blocks refer to the amplifier outputs L1, L2, etc.

Mode: INDEPENDENT

Mode: GROUPED

Mode: DIFFERENTIAL

NameDescription
STATUS GLOBAL

This section of the GUI deals with the overall OP8110 system operation. It shows "SYSTEM IS OK" if there is no system fault and "FAULT" if there is one. It also displays the mode of operation of the amplifier Group, i.e., INDEPENDENT, GROUPED or DIFFERENTIAL.

The RESET ALL button can be used to reset any amplifier faults and bring the unit back to its initial state.

GROUP 1: DC BUS

These sections show the status of the input DC link for the amplifier Group.

Enable Amplifier DC Link pre-charges the DC Link of the Group.

DISABLE resets/disables the DC Link.

The status of the DC Link is also displayed here; “DC BUS ON!!” indicates that the DC Link is enabled/pre-charged and “OFF” indicates that it is disabled.

AMPLIFIER  <#>: VOLTAGE CONTROL

Each output, denoted as “Amplifier <#>”, has a section for its respective control and status monitoring.

Either “GUI CONTROL MODE” or “MODEL CONTROL MODE” will be shown depending on the configured control method of the respective output (as selected in the OP8110-3 RT-LAB Communication Block).

ENABLE OUTPUT turns on the respective amplifier output.

DISABLE turns off the respective amplifier output.

One of three statuses will be displayed depending on the current state of the respective output:

  • "OFF"Indicates that the respective output is off/disabled.
  • "FAULTY LEG!!"Indicates that the respective output is in a fault state.
  • "OUTPUT ON!!"Indicates that the respective output is on/enabled.

The input and output of the Console GUI block directly communicates with the OP8110-3 RT-LAB Communication Block.
