HIL2GO-200 - Install and Connect the OP4610XG Simulator
Page Content
Installing
Install the OP4610XG simulator on a table or in a mounting rack with sufficient space on both sides to allow proper airflow cooling (about 15 cm or 6 in.).
Connect the Power and Ground
Connect the power cord to the unit and to an appropriate power source (outlet).
If installed in a rack, connect the ground screw to the rack, if installed in a rack. See how to connect the ground screw here.
Connect the Simulator to the Host PC
The OP4610XG simulator communicates with the Windows host computer via TCP/IP.
The simulator can be connected in two different ways:
Directly to your host computer (direct connection)
Via your local area network (local area network configuration).
Please follow the instructions in this page to connect your host PC in either way:
Connect the Ethernet cable provided to the LAN1 port.
Ethernet port LAN default IP address is written on a label on the front of the simulator above the OPAL-RT logo.
IPMI
The OPAL-RT simulators can be controlled remotely through the IPMI interface. This article of the OPAL-RT knowledge base explains how to do so.
Your IPMI credentials are in the HIL2GO bundle data card named “Meet your HL2GO bundle” delivered with your system.
Power up the OP4610XG
Turn on the main power switch in the back of the OP4610XG.
WARNING: Make sure that the main power switch at the rear of the unit is easily accessible for emergency shutdown.
Press the power button in the front of the unit.
