How to Add the CMDE Add-On to the System Definition

The CMDE Add-On is designed to integrate with NI VeriStand via a Custom Device. Follow the steps below to add the custom device to the VeriStand system definition:

Procedure

1. Create a New Project

   • Open NI VeriStand and select Default Project.

   • Provide the new project with a representative name and click Create.

2. Open System Explorer

   • In the VeriStand Editor, click Configure... to launch the System Explorer.

3. Add the Custom Device

   • Expand the system definition tree until you reach the Custom Devices section.

   • Right-click the Custom Devices section and navigate to OPAL-RT >> CMDE Add-On.

4. Save

   • Save the system definition file.
