Libraries

All libraries are accessible from the Libraries menu. See 4. Widgets Library.

To add a widget to a diagram, open the Libraries menu with the “+” button located in the bottom-left corner of the diagram.

Edit vs. Operate Mode

With the Edit mode you can add, connect, move, edit or delete widgets. In this mode, the widget data value cannot be edited.

The Operate mode disables all edition functions, but allows manipulation of the widget data value. The sidebar is no longer accessible since the widgets cannot be selected, except when using double-click on a widgets.

The selected mode is shared by all panels for a given window.

For example, if you select “Operate” in one panel, then switch panels, the Operate mode will also be activated for that panel.

However, you may “pop out” a panel (using its context menu in the navigation pane), and select a different mode there — it will not be propagated to the main window.

Showing and pinning the Sidebar

The sidebar open automatically when a diagram item is selected. It can be pinned open with the pin button next to the “Edit/Operate” toggle button.

Double-clicking on a widget temporary open the sidebar while the selection last, whether being in Edit or Operate mode.

Diagram Navigation

Panning on a diagram can be done either by holding the spacebar and dragging, right click down and drag, or using keyboard arrows.

Buttons to zoom, toggle the grid and fit the diagram to the window are located in the bottom-right corner.

When an element on the diagram is selected, the context menu can be opened (by doing a right click) with the following options: “Snap to Grid”, "Cut", "Copy", “Delete” and options to change the z-order of a widget.
