Flashing of OP8666 using .hex file

Software Requirement

The UniFlash flash programming tool of Texas Instruments is required and can be downloaded for installation using this link .

UniFlash v7.2.0 is used as an illustration in this page.

Figures 1 and 2 shows the panels seen when UniFlash is opened with and without the OP8666 connected to the host computer.

Flashing .hex File into OP8666

The steps required to flash the .hex file of a controller model on the OP8666 are as follows:

  1. Connect the OP8666 to the host computer via the ICP connection port in the front panel.

  2. Open UniFlash. A similar screen display as Figure 2 should appear.

  3. Select the appropriate TI Controller as shown in Figure 3.

  4. After selecting the controller, click on Start (see Figure 4).

  5. Browse the .hex file of the controller model to be loaded, as presented in Figure 5.

  6. Click on Load Image in order to load the selected file on the controller module (see Figure 6).

  7. If loaded successfully, a similar message as presented in Figure 7 will be displayed.
