OpNI670x Analog Out

Block

Mask

Description

The National InstrumentsNI6703 and NI6704 cards feature 16 voltage outputs and 8 digital I/O lines. The NI6704 card also features 16 current outputs. This block monitors the voltage or current analog output channels.

Parameters

Bus TypeSelect the bus type (PCI or PXI) of the target node in this list.
Card TypeSelect the card model in this list.
PCI indexEnter the PCI index (see definition)of the card on the PCI (or PXI) bus.
Output Type

[NI-6704only] Select the type of outputs desired. The choices are voltage(output in volts) or current (output in amps). To output data to both voltage and current channels, use one block for voltage channels and another one for current channels.

Channel ListEnter the vector of channel numbers to be monitored by this block. The channel numbers, in the range [0-15], can be entered in any order and must appear only once in the list.
Synchronizesee definition.

Inputs

At each calculation step of the model, the block writes to the output channels the data provided by the model through the inports of the block. The input values are assumed to be in volts or in amps, depending on the output type selected in the mask.

Note: The output ranges are [-10V,+10V] or [0,20mA].

Three sets of input values must be specified :

reset

Values that will be written to the analog out channels when the reset button is hit.

pause

Values that will be written to the analog out channels when the model is in pause mode, that is at initialization or when the pause button is hit.

run

Values that will be written to the analog out channels at each time step.

Note: To ensure that the pause and reset values be properly written out, it is recommended to set these values in the model subsystem that contains the Op NI670xAnalog Out block, and not to provide them from the console subsystem.

Outputs

This block has no outputs.
