Introduction
This demo document will show how to set up the development environment used with the TI Module along with the OP8666.
The goal of this demo is to confirm the proper installation of the development tool is functional.
Also, this will show how to interact with the TI controller to Read/Write variables using the ICP USB Cable.
Software and Material Requirement
Windows OS with MATLAB R2017b and above
Requires Simulink, MATLAB Coder, Embedded Coder, and Simulink Coder
Compatible MATLAB Add-ons:
For MATLAB 2017b to MATLAB 2022b, Embedded Coder Support Package for Texas Instruments C2000 Processors
For MATLAB 2023a and above, C2000 Microcontroller Blockset See note
TI Code Composer Studio™ (CCS V6 or later)
USB to USB High-Speed Cable
Cable is not included OP8666
USB ports are USB Type A
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The MATLAB add-on C2000 Microcontroller Blockset is NOT backwards compatible.
OP8666 models created with MATLAB 2023a and above cannot be simulated in MATLAB 2017b to MATLAB 2022b, even by using export to previous version functionality of MATLAB.
Strictly use the compatible add-on as listed above through all stages of the OP8666 model development. Do NOT interchange under any circumstances.
