Use Case 1 12-pulse HVDC System
The SSN method is shown below on a 12-pulse HVDC system. The HVDC case offers many possibilities as to how to make the groups.
The HVDC system contains many switches: two 6-pulse valve groups and possibly 20 or more switched filter banks on AC-bus and DC-bus.
The SSN method was designed to cope with this type of real-time simulation challenge.
