Preferences Menu

The “Preferences” window allows you to configure various settings related to the appearance, value formatting, and scaling of widgets and UI elements. These preferences are categorized into three sections: “General”, “Simulation”, and “Logs”.

General

The “General” panel is about configuring visual styles in the whole application.

Theme

Dashboards can be used with two different theme palettes: “Light” and “Dark”.

Widgets with custom colors will not be affected by the theme selection.

Default Value Formatting

Change the display format of decimal numbers between three options:

The “Automatic” option the system choose the best format
The “Floating point” option let a decimal representation
The “Scientific” option is the more precise option by using the exponent

In addition, the significant digits can be changed manually in order to impact the previous option and when they are activated.

Default scale font size

This setting allows you to adjust the font size for widgets that display scale-based values, such as knobs, gauges, sliders, thermometers, and graphs.

Font size options include:

Small (10)
Medium (12) (Default value)
Large (14)

Simulation

The “Simulation” panel change the behavior of the application at the end of the simulation. The “Online Values” setting will change the behavior of the “Keep or Discard parameter values” dialog. Logs

You can see all log messages in the “Logs” panel. The “Open Logs” button will open the logs in the Windows explorer and will allow you to send a precise report to the OPAL-RT support in case of some issues. See OPAL-RT Technical Support Team is Here for You for more information about support.
