Before using your OP5025XG/OP4810-IO system, you have to install OPAL-RT’s HYPERSIM on your Windows PC. When it's done, it will be referred to the host or simply localhost. Note that in the documentation, you may also encounter the name Windows target, or sometimes command station. They are synonyms and all refer to the instance of HYPERSIM installed on your Windows PC.

Install HYPERSIM on your Windows Host PC

Here is a summary of the installation steps:

• Download and install the latest version of HYPERSIM from OPAL-RT Download Center.

  • Double-click on the “.exe” file downloaded and follow the installation steps and instructions, which are straight forward.
    It is recommended that you keep the default settings suggested.

• At the end of the installation, you will be asked to request or load a license.

  • If you want to skip this step at the moment, click the “X” on the right top corner. The temporary license provided will make the system usable for some days.

  • Otherwise, click “Request a New license.”

• Fill the form:

  • At “Request type,” select “Other”

  • In the “Project Number” field, type the serial number of one of your unit.

    • The serial numbers of both of your units are in the HIL2GO bundle data card entitled “Meet your HIL2GO Bundle” and on stickers on the right side of each unit.

• Click “Send” and wait for your license from OPAL-RT’s Technical Support team by email. It usually takes less than 24 hours during work days.

  • Remember that you have a temporary license to use your system while waiting for your permanent license.
